Sound of the Underground was the song that Girls Aloud performed in Popstars The Rivals when they beat the boys in the 2002 show.
The song became the 2002 Christmas No 1 and stayed at No 1 for four weeks. The album was released in May 2003, and was followed up with a Special Edition that dropped Everything You Ever Wanted but included Girls On Film and videos of: Sound Of The Underground, No Good Advice and Life Got Cold.
This song has been sung by Girls Aloud in all of their sell-out concerts and Kimberley, Nadine and Sarah have also sung the song in their solo shows.
The album sold over 368,000 copies and was certified Platinum in the UK.
